To: Edgar A. Poe (The Sea)

I want to make love
to day and night

feels who a body built bearing bare
feels my stray
heart of time, I thought
though it took its time to live tonight
still the beauty stir and a single beat my heart forgot

how the world away has tired – living hours faraway
my heart has changed its course to finish

a heart can extinguish -
no sweeter
the sea, the
less sweetness of things
the fluttering furtives of foliage
orange

and the wines of the
wings, the sepia of the Sea

wild, all ashore.
